Julia was born in beautiful and ancient Mykolaiv, Ukraine. She graduated with honours from art school and received higher education and a doctoral degree from the Mykolaiv University, Faculty of History and Philosophy. But her passion for art took over and Julia has been working as a freelance illustrator for several years, creating illustrations for clients around the world. Julia has created art for both advertising and fiction, but her priority is children's illustrations. "Children's illustration is a special kind of illustration: a viewer like a child will always see a falsehood in a picture, a children's audience cannot be deceived, and this makes the artist sincere."
